Crucible 2 Sculpture Exhibition, Glos Cathedral. Saturday 6th Sept 2014

How good it feels to have some time to ourselves.

Now, what to do,
that's the question,
Head to Gloucester Cathedral and their

CRUCIBLE 2
Exhibition.

A bit of a basic idea this, placed to perfection.
Clever and compelling..

And that's why we all love a
SNAIL
(Michael Cooper)

 Sarah Lucas' weird balloon folk.

So much space that even on a busy Saturday, there's plenty of room.

 Brilliantly positioned.

Poignant positioning highlighting the current state of the western world - IMO.

See that? That's you that is.

David Mach put together this skull.
I wanna make one...if only!!

Detail; Fallen Angel, Hurst, who else?

Chadwick couple taking in their local.

 Hungry Hippo! By Kenneth Robertson

Another Chadwick that's placed so that with a little effort the head fits into the carvings on the wall of the Cathedral; clever stuff. The old home of the Chadwicks', Lypiatt Sculpture Park, Bisley is open next Sunday  14th Sept, gotta be a great afternoon out.

We missed 8 pieces that lurk in the Crypt. We'll be back before it ends 31st Oct.
