Kadampa Meditation Centre, Spain - 9.12.16

We arrived at the Meditation Centre a whole day late after that long drive from the UK, and a night in the horrible, ugly, sprawl that is Malaga.

Day 1 – Fri 9.12.16
At last we were here. Ed had been ditched in Torremolinos.
We were in dire need of a long sleep and some TLC.

Day 2 – Sat 10.12.16
Next morning we strolled about and got caught by the Nun who was to be our guide for our stay.

There were rules, of course, some we made up ourselves.
We took off our shoes to enter the building, but weren't sure whether or not we could go bare foot as even people in flipflops were wearing socks.
The lack of rules here, is quite refreshing, but one, that I took to refer to sexual harassment, MeWally took to mean no sex on site! Which explained the male and female dorms for volunteers, and the Monk/Nun thing. Then we saw a room with a king sized bed in it! Well, we thought …..hang on a moment, what's going on here then?
Anyway, I have a list of the things I'm asking for ... if I come back
:)

On the same tack, we were quite concerned about showing any affection, even hand holding. Turns out that's ok too. So we didn't need to worry about the Spanish inquisition after all.

Another rule .....don't kill anything!
This ant was so big that we thought WE might be on its' menu.

Plenty of fruit trees

It's an 'all you can eat' buffet,

in paradise.

Everyone gets to cook for the centre - if they want to.
The best bit?
You get to dress like a real chef for the day!

This Meditation centre is set in the mountains above that small fishing village of Torrimolinos.

Which gives us the most beautiful views, luckily not of Torrimolinos, or Ed on his hols!

With a view like this, why would anyone want to leave?

What were we doing here?
Good question.
