Last day of the holiday. The sun is shining. The sea is benign.
Well, what would you do?
We set off in our little boats
to head to TALLAND BAY
for tea and cake with Jaquie and Bob, who were walking along the cliff path.
We checked out some beach sculptures, before ....
heading into the beach to be greeted by the welcoming committee!
Cake and chat with the boats in the background.
On the beach, our CELTIC history had been carefully reproduced in sand and pebbles by a clever sod. It's quite beautiful in its' exquisite detail. .
Too much tea made MeWally a bit wobbly.
The water was rather wavy on the way back, freshening to rollers by the time we got to the harbour mouth. We had to plan our run through the harbour entrance. Exciting, not dangerous. No photos though, too intense on the survival side of things!
Refreshingly calm in the inner harbour. What a relief. A local boatman made it VERY CLEAR that we shouldn't go out again as the conditions were becoming 'lethal'.
Bit of a walk in - tide's gone out.
Bob and Jaquie got to the slipway as we did. Perfect timing for the end of a perfect holiday.
