We're off on holiday - and so is the Open Canadian Canoe (OC) along with our bikes and snorkel kit. We'll have a good time as long as we don't use everything at the same time.
The journey is every bit as important as the holiday, it's the things I see as we skim along, that keeps me amused.
Things like the first view of the sea is the most important moment of any trip, especially the inland ones .... Ha Ha!
The way all these shapes converge, more or less, at the vanishing point is perfection. It'd make a good painting,as long as I skip the tractor and sign lurking there in the corner.
Our little holiday house was nestling between Gina's place and the pub.
Rich had mad a real effort to present the place as a fresh and pretty home. He is really in touch with his feminine side. The patchworks show a real skill, as well as an Eye for colour.
As you can see, the accommodation is rather smart. It didn't take long for us to muddle it up and turn it into a proper
HOME FROM HOME.
Job number one; check out the new baby donkey !!
SHE'S JUST LIKE MUM!
We said Hi to our camping chums and then headed to the hills for a dusk stroll. Catching a look at the firing range and Chesil Bank as we slogged up the hill behind the campsite.
East Fleet Camp site, with it's farm house and our wee hoosey are glinting shyly in the twilight, between the water and us standing on the hill top.
Looking in the other direction, Portland still has the sun on it as we head down to the little house and some supper.
