We ate our continental brekky at the COUNTY HOTEL, The staff here are a treat, as is the food. It's public areas are very smart, all of which has made it a popular eatery. Shame the bedrooms are rather lacklustre.
Our ferry was leaving at
STUPIDY TIME IN THE MORNING.
First STORNOWAY and then THE EYE PENINSULAR slid away under a dawn sky, as did sightings of Porpoises and Dolphins.
The land shrank as the blue took over. An hour of sea and sky followed. Lots of sea and sky.
And then, as a few low islands came into view, Porpoises and Dolphins began to pop up again. They were playing around THE SUMMER ISLES
and all the way along the glorious LOCH BROOM.
What a perfect piece of water, shiny, smooth,
oleaginous, smoothing our way
into the tiny, MAINLAND port of ULLAPOOL and the long, wet road home.
