Carlsburgh, Lewis Sunday 11.7.10

Well, it's not a picture perfect little cottage; we knew that, but it is typical of homes on Lewis, utilitarian, rather than fancy architecture.

All the rooms are fresh and inviting.

Not what passers by might imagine this house to be like on the inside!

It took no time to settle in to our usual routines.

and make this perfect little house look lived in.

Outside, despite the grey weather, we set of on a 'reccy'.

The view from the house is soft.

Local entertainment?

Local .

The land seems to be absorbing everything in it's path.

OK.......??  I'm scared now!

Our little town opens onto the sea', EVENTUALLY

Adonis Blue.

Lovely sense of humour around here.

Life here is gentler than Nailsworth, that's for sure.

I wonder if anyone owns a car....

If you see what I mean.

There's a lovely dock here...oh yeh, and more locals.

the dock's run by the local council. The loo was finished with these SEA SHELL TILES

FAB.

Gorgeous........

and funny........

and stylish....

I THINK I LIKE THE PEOPLE AROUND HERE.

The view from above the dock is pretty, even at dusk

.

So beautiful.

Heading back, I can't resist mucking about with this mirror.

Home for tea and cake.
